High-Quality Mechanical and Biological Filtration

The JOY Combi Filter utilises a 120-micron filter panel capable of retaining fine suspended solids down to approximately 70 microns, ensuring consistently clear and visually pristine pond water. This fine mechanical separation protects the biological stage and stabilises long-term water parameters.

The integrated moving bed biological chamber is supplied with Hel-X biocarrier media, providing a high surface area environment for nitrifying bacteria to support effective ammonia and nitrite conversion.

Automated Cleaning and Integrated Flushing System

The JOY Combi Filter incorporates a built-in flushing pump and integrated drum controller that automatically detects when cleaning is required and initiates a cleaning cycle. This automation ensures consistent waste removal, reduces manual maintenance, and supports long-term operational reliability.

Built-In 40-Watt H-O Amalgam UVC Clarifier

Fitted as standard with a built-in 40-watt H-O amalgam UVC Clarifier, the JOY filter is designed to suppress algae, bacteria, and waterborne pathogens. Integrating ultraviolet treatment directly into the filtration process maintains optimal hydraulic flow and eliminates the need for separate UV equipment in the pipework.

Patented Drum Sealing and Double Brush Cleaning System

As with all Red Label drum filters, the JOY Combi Filter features the patented drum sealing system, which helps prevent water bypass and protects sealing components from ultraviolet exposure, extending service life. The double brush cleaning system ensures the waste discharge channel remains clear, reducing routine maintenance requirements.

Ideal for Small to Medium Koi Ponds

With a maximum flow rate of 20,000 litres per hour (4,400 UK gallons per hour), the JOY Combi Filter is suitable for ponds up to 40,000 litres (8,800 UK gallons) and koi ponds up to 20,000 litres (4,400 UK gallons)—making it an efficient, space-saving solution for professional and high-quality private koi pond installations.

High-Capacity Filter Media Included

The Red Label JOY Combi Filter is supplied with 2 m² of Red-X cassette filter mats and 60 litres of Hel-X biocarrier media, supporting immediate commissioning and comprehensive mechanical and biological filtration from day one.
