High-Performance Mechanical and Biological Filtration

Mechanical Filtration
The BASIC Combi 50/60 PLUS utilises a stainless steel filter panel with a 120-micron mesh capable of retaining fine suspended solids before waste reaches the biological stage. This fine mechanical separation protects beneficial bacteria, stabilises water parameters, and maintains high water clarity even under heavy stocking and elevated flow conditions.

Biological Filtration
The integrated moving bed biological chamber is supported by a spacious matting room, allowing for expanded biological capacity and improved handling of elevated organic loads. The system comes complete with 4.5 square metres (m²) of Red-X filter matting as standard and accommodates up to 300 litres of Red Label Hel-X biocarrier media, with 200 litres supplied as standard, delivering substantial biological surface area from initial commissioning.

Integrated Flushing Pump and Drum Controller

The BASIC 50/60 PLUS incorporates an internal flushing system and dedicated drum controller that automatically initiate cleaning cycles when contamination thresholds are reached. This automation ensures consistent waste removal, reduces manual intervention, and supports long-term operational reliability in high-throughput installations.

Built-In UVC Clarifier with Upgrade Option

Fitted as standard with a built-in 40-watt UVC Clarifier, the BASIC 50/60 PLUS is designed to suppress algae, bacteria, and waterborne pathogens while maintaining optimal hydraulic efficiency. For higher-performance requirements, the system can be upgraded to an 80-watt UVC Clarifier, allowing ultraviolet output to be matched to specific pond volumes and stocking densities.

Patented Drum Sealing and Double Brush Cleaning System

All Red Label drum filters are equipped with a patented, UV-resistant drum sealing system that prevents water bypass and protects critical components from ultraviolet exposure, extending service life. The double brush cleaning system keeps the waste discharge channel clear, reducing buildup and minimising routine maintenance requirements.
