Red Label Drum 30/35

Professional Mechanical Filtration System for Koi Ponds
Available in: Gravity-Fed and Pump-Fed Versions

A koi pond is a precision-managed aquatic environment where mechanical separation, stable flow dynamics, and reliable automation directly influence water clarity and long-term fish health. The Red Label Drum 30/35 is engineered as a high-performance drum filtration platform designed for medium to large koi pond installations, professional upgrades, and compact filter pit environments requiring consistent, automated mechanical filtration.

High-Performance Mechanical Filtration

The precision-engineered drum is fitted with a 120-micron stainless steel filter screen designed to retain fine suspended solids before waste reaches the biological stage. This protects beneficial bacteria, stabilizes water parameters, and ensures consistently clear, visually pristine koi pond water.

Built-In UVC Clarifier and System Protection

Fitted as standard with a recessed, built-in 40-watt UVC clarifier, the Drum 30/35 is designed to suppress algae, bacteria, and waterborne pathogens while maintaining optimal hydraulic efficiency. The integrated protection system safeguards internal components during abnormal operating conditions, supporting long-term operational reliability.

Patented Drum Sealing and Double Brush Cleaning System

All Red Label drum filters are equipped with a patented, UV-resistant drum sealing system that prevents water bypass and protects critical sealing components from ultraviolet exposure, significantly extending service life. The double brush cleaning system ensures the waste discharge channel remains clear, reducing buildup and minimizing routine maintenance requirements.

Integrated Flushing Pump and Automated Cleaning

The Drum 30/35 incorporates an internal rinsing pump (Q800103) and dedicated drum controller that automatically initiate cleaning cycles when contamination thresholds are reached. This automation ensures consistent waste removal, stable filtration performance, and reduced manual intervention.

Applications, Specifications & Configuration

Ideal Applications

With its compact footprint and professional-grade mechanical performance, the Drum 30/35 is ideally suited for filter pit installations, medium to large koi ponds, system upgrades, and retrofit projects where reliable automated filtration is required.

Gravity vs Pump-fed

Gravity-Fed vs Pump-Fed Model Comparison

Feature Gravity-Fed Version Pump-Fed Version
Installation Method Installed at pond water level; water flows naturally into the filter Installed above or away from pond level; water is delivered via external pump
Energy Efficiency High efficiency due to reduced main circulation pumping Dependent on external pump power and system head height
Hydraulic Stability Stable, constant flow with minimal head loss Flow regulated by pump selection and plumbing layout
Noise Profile Very low Moderate, dependent on external pump type
Maintenance Access Typically installed in filter pits for discreet installations Above-ground for easier access
Recommended Applications Permanent koi pond builds and professional installations Raised ponds, retrofits, and space-limited sites
